How Can I Help?
Habitat for Humanity relies on volunteer labor and donation of building materials and services. You can help by giving land, construction supplies or skills such as carpentry, painting, concrete/ masonry, sheet rock, electrical, plumbing, heating, landscaping, or clean-up. Anyone with construction skills can contribute a block of time. However, you do not have to have a particular skill; there is something for everyone to do.
You may also make a monetary donation or land acquisition, material and labor that cannot be obtained via donations. Home sites such as town lots or other parcels of land are needed. Building material from other businesses is an important source of help. Donations keep the cost involved in the local affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. We are a non-profit, tax-exempt corporation that is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, which represents a cross-section of our community. Habitat for Humanity International has provided simple, decent, affordable shelter to more then 25,000 people worldwide. There are Habitat affiliates in all 50 states and in 70 nations.
